With the switch from clay to grass following the French Open, the rivals are getting prepared for the most famous tournament of the world, Wimbledon.

So what is going on this week?

At the Aegon Championship, Andy Murray directed a volley against the umpire Cedric Mourier, after he stopped Murray’s third round match against Mardy Fish due to bad light. The score was 4-6 6-1 3-3 when the American player, Mardy Fish approached Mourier and asked him to stop the match to be resumed the following day. Murray apparently thought the weather was absolutely fine and he did not extend the match to the following day.

An unexpected loss took place when Andy Roddick lost to Dudi Sela of Israel at Queen’s Club in London. Roddick, the 4 time champion at Queen’s Club made his exit at the 3rd round.

At Queen’s tournament, #2 Novak Djokovic lost 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to Xavier Malisse of Belgium while #1 seeded Rafael Nadal reached the quarterfinals with a 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-4 victory against Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.

Roger Federer was at the Gerry Weber tournament at this time. Federer reached the quarterfinals of the Gerry Weber tournament in Halle, Germany, beating the Colombian player Alejandro Falla  6-1, 6-2.
